My name is Prashant Aggarwal and I'm a marketing professional based in New Delhi, India. I've spent over 12 years building brands, understanding consumers, and navigating markets — both professionally and as an active stock trader.
This is my attempt to think in public — writing about what both worlds have taught me about decisions, risk, and human behaviour.
I started my career in market research at Kantar, where I spent four years learning how to decode consumer behaviour for some of India's biggest FMCG, automotive, and mobile brands. That work taught me something fundamental: people rarely do what they say they'll do — and understanding that gap is where all the real insight lives.
From Kantar I moved to GSK Consumer Healthcare (now Haleon), first as an Insights Manager running U&A studies and concept tests across OTC categories, then transitioning into brand management. Today I lead brand strategy for Otrivin, Crocin, and Iodex across India and Sri Lanka — building innovation pipelines, launching new products, and managing the intersection of consumer insight, regulatory process, and commercial delivery.
Alongside the day job, I've been an active stock trader for years. The markets became my laboratory for the same questions I deal with professionally — how do people process information, manage risk, and make decisions under uncertainty? The two pursuits feed each other in ways I'm still discovering.

Leading end-to-end brand strategy across four major OTC healthcare brands in India and Sri Lanka. Delivered 22% value growth on Otrivin in 2025 through a refreshed brand strategy and repositioned communication. Led the Crocin Cough & Throat launch to market in 7 months, delivering 10% incremental growth with zero cannibalisation. Authored a 3-year innovation pipeline covering new formats, adjacencies, and portfolio architecture. Managing cross-functional execution across regulatory, supply chain, R&D, and commercial teams.
Designed and executed U&A studies, HUTs, concept tests, and communication evaluations across 5+ OTC categories. Identified latent consumer tensions that informed brand positioning and early-stage innovation briefs. Work directly enabled Otrivin's +3pp market share gain. Recognised with the GSK Best Insights & Analytics Award (2021).
Led custom research projects spanning segmentation, U&A, brand tracking, and innovation research for marquee clients. Built and managed senior client relationships across FMCG, automotive, and mobile sectors. Translated research into strategic recommendations presented directly to client marketing leadership. Recognised as a Role Model; awarded Gold & Platinum distinction in consecutive years.
